We have a lot of work to do.

42% of the world has NEVER heard the gospel of Jesus Christ.

See Statistics

At home and abroad

Out of the other 68% that have heard, a very small remnant are actually in relationship with Jesus Christ.

What does it mean to be a Christian?

How should we respond?

Doug’s ministry focuses not only on traveling abroad to reach the lost, but the equipping and empowering of the local church to evangelize in our own neighborhoods.

What does this look like?

“You are the light of the world.”

Matt 5:14

2014 April India trip

Categories: News

As I write this post, I’m in a hotel in India with limited power, limited internet, and quite frankly limited sleep.  I should have written this post a week ago, but things have been so hectic that I’m just now getting to it.  Oh well, better late than never.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers for Rachel.  She continues to defy medical prognosis and is remarkable stable and living thanks to our Sovereign God!!  It was very difficult to leave home this time for this trip, but Lori and I both felt as if it was God’s will for me to be here with Blake Livengood and Gil Feltel to train 41 students at the Transformational Training Institute in Mirik, India.  Please pray for us while we are here and our families while we are away.  I’ve written our itinerary below and again appreciate so much your prayers for our family and our team as we continue to spread HIS LIGHT!!

Sunday, April 27:    Blake, Gil, and I will preach at three different churches that are led by one of the pastors from the Leadership Transformational Training Institute (LTTI).  The LTTI is made up of 41 students from three countries (Bhutan, India, and Nepal).

Tuesday, April 29:    Teach at the LTTI.
Wednesday, April 30:    Teach at the LTTI.
Thursday, May 1:    Graduation ceremony for the students at the LTTI.  We will share a message of encouragement for the students and the staff..
Friday, May 2:    Travel back to Dehli.
Saturday, May 3:    Sightseeing and debrief in Dehli, then head back to the states at 3:00 am on Sunday May 4.
Please pray specifically for our team to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leadership and prompting, that we will encourage the students and staff at the LTTI, for Divine appointments along the way, for our families while we are away, for our protection, and for the Lord to put a hold on Rachel until I return.  We continue to pray for the Lord to provide her with a new heart, but we are asking for God’s mercy on her and Lori while I’m away.
Thank you so much for partnering with us as we seek to share HIS LIGHT in the hard to reach places of the world!
Doug
